A renowned Sanskrit scholar, Pt Ramkumar Sashtri, who is 111 years old, was honoured at a simple yet impressive function in Thane today.
The function was organised by Bhagwan Parshuram Sena.
A book 'Arogyam' deliberating on health issues like heart attack, diabetics, and blood pressure was released at the hands of the veteran scholar on the occasion.
Sashtri originally hails from Bisau of Ramgadh in Rajasthan and is presently in Thane. The scholar has won several awards.
President of the Sena, Om Prakash Sharma said Thane is honoured to have such a renown scholar in the city and hence we decided to honour him.
